Let’s first talk about the locking feature in Google photos application. Google launched a feature of locked folder in the past. By using this feature, a user can move their photos and videos into the locked folder. The photos and videos will be moved from the Google photos to the locked folder.

To access the locked folder, user will have to enter their phone’s passcode for android device and for website user have to enter their Google account password to see the locked folder files. This feature seems pretty cool, it provides user to set a security for their private photos and videos. Before this feature, the images and videos uploaded in the Google photos can be seen by anyone who has access to the Google Account of a user. But remember that your password is the key to open the locked folder in Google Photos, so keep your password only to yourself.

In normal situation, when you open the Google photos website, you will be able to see the locked folder option in the library section of Google photos. The library section is located on the left-hand side of the website.

While I was Unable to find the locked folder option in google photos website, I came through the solution by using the Google Photos Android Application.

Here is the step-by-step guide on how you can find the locked folder in Google Photos by using Android Application of Google Photos.

Step 1. Open the Google Photos Application in your Android Device.

Step 4. Now the utilities section will open, scroll down to see the locked folder option

Step 7. Now It will ask to enter your passcode/fingerprint of android device.

Done, you will be in the locked photos’ folder, and now you can see the photos and videos that you have putted in the locked folder of Google photos.
